The 2023 Clalit Outstanding Hospital Award was presented today to Schneider Children’s Medical Center.
While constantly preparing for an emergency, in these tense days, Clalit’s Management decided to surprise Schneider Children’s management and join their board meeting, present the award and show that you don’t’ give up excellence even in times of war and emergency.
The award was presented to Dr. Efrat Baron-Harlev, CEO of Schneider Children’s Medical Center by Eli Cohen, CEO of Clalit and Dr. Orly Weinstein, deputy director and head of hospital division at Clalit, as part of the hospital’s board meeting. Schneider Children’s Medical Center reached the highest weighted score among General Hospitals in 2023.
Unlike previous years, when ceremonies were held to award the awards, this year the award was given modestly in light of the difficult and complex year.
Schneider Children’s Medical Center was highly appreciated for its preparation and operations during the Iron Swords War, including the opening of a dedicated department to receive children and families who returned from captivity in Gaza, the opening of a psychosocial service in Shefayim for children from the Gaza Envelope who are evacuated from their homes after October 7th, the opening of a pediatrics service in Eilat for evacuated children from all over the country, and more.
